FREMM Naval vessels with Fincantieri

Comes SpA has been awarded the electrical installation and instrumentation activities for no. 4 FREMM naval vessels with Fincantieri SpA.

The FREMM program is a collaborative project of the Italian-French defense industries that aims to develop a new class of frigates, having a common starting base, but with “national” differences depending on the different operational needs.

The units for the Italian Navy are built in the integrated Fincantieri shipyard in Riva Trigoso-Muggiano. The ships have a full load displacement of approximately 6,500 tons, an overall length of approximately 144 meters and a speed exceeding 27 knots.
