Comes SNC was founded
Comes SNC (unlimited partnership) was founded in Taranto in 1988 thanks to the idea of Dr. Vincenzo Cesareo with the purpose of building and engineering electro-mechanical equipments aimed at customizing machines and production lines both in the food industry and in the processing of plastics.

Tommaso Carone joined the company
In 1990 dr. Tommaso Carone joined the company as Technical Director of Comes SpA.
Unfortunately, he passed away in 2017. -
2002
Comes becomes a Joint Stock Company
Comes SNC (unlimited partnership), then limited partenership company and limited liability company, becomes a joint stock company thanks to the acquisition of significant industrial automation contracts as well as the achievement of professional certifications.
Comes SpA is born, a company operating in the electrical, electromechanical, instrumentation and industrial process control sectors. -
2007
Nuova Gamma Srl joins the company
Nuova Gamma Srl joined the Group, bringing along its light carpentry expertise in the Electrical and Steel sector.

Progetti Srl joins the company
Progetti Srl, a Mantuan engineering company, joined the Group. Its support helped expanding the range of services in the multidisciplinary consulting engineering field in order to achieve a solid experience in the OIL&GAS sector.

Comes UK was created
In order to expand the EFW and BIOMASS assembling in the UK, Comes UK, a branch of Comes S.p.A., was created.

Marra Srl joins the company
Marra Srl, with registered offices in Taranto, joined the Group. The company is specialized in the mechanical construction, hydraulic and industrial mechanical maintenance field.

2015 – 2020 Transformational Change Plan
The Company’s Board of Directors launched the “2015 – 2020 Transformational Change Plan” project with the aim of redesigning the Company primary processes, ensuring cooperation among the departments and strenghtening the Group as a whole in order to assure continuing growth in turnover and operating margins.

2025 New Expansion Plan
Thanks to the Company reorganization and the creation of a brand new Corporate identity, the 2020 - 2025 New Expansion Plan was submitted to the Company’s Executive Committee with the aim of regulating new investments and new market segments in which, after an accurate feasibility analysis and some researches on the field, Comes has decided to bet on.
