Comes for high-speed Naples-Bari

Comes for high-speed Naples-Bari

The new High-Speed/High-Capacity (HS/HC) Naples-Bari railway line is one of the most important infrastructure projects under construction in southern Italy. Once fully operational, it will make it possible to cover the route in just two hours, with a maximum speed of 250 km/h.

As part of this strategic work, Comes SpA has been involved as a partner of Impresa Pizzarotti & C. in the works to double the Cancello-Benevento section (1st functional lot Cancello-Frasso Telesino and variant to the Rome-Naples line via Cassino in the Municipality of Maddaloni), designing, building and installing the following turnkey systems from the mechanical, electrical and automation standpoint

  • Safety: pressurisation system to serve the filter zones, both even and odd tracks, inside the escape windows of the Monte Aglio Tunnel;
  • Fire Fighting Points: construction of No. 3 fire-fighting water plants in accordance with UNI EN 1284.

As a whole, the Naples-Bari high-speed railway line ‘speed and integration for the South’, with its 145 kilometres in length, is part of the European Trans European Network (TEN-T) programme, improving the integration of Southern Italy’s infrastructure into the ‘Scandinavia-Mediterranean’ Core Corridor.
