Comes’ activities in Guadeloupe (French Antilles) are being consolidated alongside Albioma, a global player in the field of renewable energy (in particular biomass, solar energy, and geothermal energy).

The project in which we are involved concerns the conversion to biomass of the last power plant on the island currently fuelled by fossil fuels, which will be fuelled mainly with waste from the processing of sugar cane, a plant with a particularly high capacity to absorb CO₂.

In ecological terms, this will result in:

• a +35% to +45% increase of renewable energy in the Guadeloupe mix;
• 200,000 tonnes of CO2 avoided each year (-87% of direct emissions);
• 30% of local electricity produced sustainably.

Our contribution to this important project concerns, specifically:

• the supply of TGBT (Tableau General Basse Tension) switchboards.
• the electro-instrumental plant of the entire Industrial Site.
• electro-instrumental plant located at the island’s industrial port.

After an initial phase dedicated to the development of engineering, followed by procurement, work will begin in April 2025, engaging up to 70 people in the field, with completion scheduled for October of the same year.
